Mission Statement
1. Test the hypothesis that firing ceramics with wood is a more eco-friendly approach than the use of other fuels.
2. Produce fine ceramic art in the Japanese and European traditions of cone 9-12 wood fired ceramics.
3. Educate who ever we can reach in the simple, elegant aesthetic of the ash glaze surface in functional and sculptural ceramics.
4. Foster a strong community of ceramic artists in a respectful environment encouraging the exchange of ideas and techniques that benefit the wood firing process and the quality of wares.
